'Tis the season to be lazy

I have REALLY enjoyed this week at home. I have cooked for my family (it's okay to be shocked), done a little post Christmas sale shopping, watched movies on download, and basically just hung out in my p.j.s all day long. This is the life!

Davin took off December 13th and doesn't have to go back until January 2nd. This has been a wonderful break for him. He has done all the same things as me except for the cooking. :) He has enjoyed his lazy time spent with Alea and me and his time away from his work stress. It was nice for him to have off an entire week before Alea and I got off because he got to do what he wanted (with a few honey-do-jobs thrown in) and have some alone time. Davin never has off when Alea and I aren't off so he really enjoyed his time to do his own thing. He said he really could get use to the stay at home life. I could too. We need to win the lottery. The thing he is going to discover about this type of schedule though is the depression that comes with having to go back to work after a long break. It is a huge blessing to have off...don't get me wrong...but it is a total bummer when you have to go back to the grind.

Sparky has become even more attached to me (if that is even possible). Davin use to call him my little white shadow but now he is more like a little white growth. I can't move at all without him being right there by me. If he takes a nap he has to lay so he is facing me at all times. It is sweet but the squishing up against me at night does get a bit old. I have discussed personal space with him but he doesn't seem to understand the concept.

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas!
Have a safe New Year!!

Blog Sadness

I still can't figure out how to upload pictures to my blog. I thought I switched to Google+ so I could upload pics but for some reason it isn't working. I don't want to abandon my blog again but I am very frustrated by this.

How the Penguins Saved Christmas

Alea's 3rd grade program was last night. They performed "How the Penguins Saved Christmas". Almost all of the kids were dressed up as penguins with a few kids dressed up as reindeer and one person dressed up as Santa Clause. Besides being a penguin Alea was also one of four ribbon twirlers. She was very excited to have this special part and did a great job. I love this picture I took of her before school. She is so pretty!
