Disney Fantasy Day 2 at Sea

We love to play shuffleboard on vacation.

Chip and Dale are two of Alea's favorite characters.

Minnie and Alea on formal night.

We ran into Belle in the hallway.

Two princesses! I love the pink and blue combo of their dresses.

Disney Fantasy Cruise day 1

Welcome aboard the Disney Fantasy for our 7 day Western Caribbean cruise.

 We found the mouse!!

Update on the illness

Our cruise was a 7 day cruise so I call the day we left for Florida, Friday the 7th, as day zero and the day we left the cruise as day 8. Anyway, Alea felt poorly on day zero and day 1. The meds seemed to working and she was only a little off her game on those days. After that she was 100%. I, on the other hand, started having the sore throat, ear ache, and extreme tiredness on day 5. Day 6 was a sea day so I went to bed at 9:30 pm on day 5 (while Davin went to a pirate party and watched the fireworks at sea) and slept until 11 am on day 6. Davin and Alea got up on day 6 and went swimming in the pool while I slept in. That long sleep helped me feel better but yesterday (day 8) my ear and throat really hurt. I woke up this morning still with a lot of pain and a new cough. The cough went away after I got up for the day but I think I'll be visiting the doctor tomorrow. I think I have an ear infection.

We leave today for our vacation 3 years in the planning and now this...

Alea is sick!

That's right. We leave for our cruise TODAY! Our flight leaves at 5:25 tonight. She had tummy troubles a couple of days ago but it seemed to be an isolated event. Yesterday she was very emotional, tired and had a headache. When she has those three things at the same time you'd better watch out. Davin and I talked last night about our game plan in case she woke up sick today. When I woke up I asked her how she felt. She said her head, stomach, and throat hurt! Davin grabbed her and ran to the doctor's office. The doctor said the tests came back negative but that is sounded like it could be strep so she gave us meds. Thank goodness! When we got home we gave Alea the medicine and she ASKED to go take a nap! I hope the meds kick in soon and she starts feeling better very, very soon. Feel free to pray for her health as we get ready to be on a ship out at sea or in another country for 7 days.

Pack the Park for The CALL

Sunday night was Pack the Park for The CALL. Tickets bought at The CALL booth benefited The CALL of NWA. It was great to see families out with their foster and bio kids enjoying the NWA Naturals baseball game. We sat in the second row just down from first base. Bec, Pat, Reed (and their two dogs) were staying with us this weekend until their rental house was ready in Pittsburg so they joined us at the game.

Look who we found. One of Alea's bffs, Nat.
Nat's family have been fostering for a little under a year.

The girls in front of The CALL sign.

We were this close to the field. :)

Presenting...her daddy.

Sweet love.

For some reason Davin looked like he was in pain for every picture we took.
I gave up and just picked one to post.

Reed loves baseball and mascots so he really loved Strike!

Decorating our Door

On the Disney Cruise ships the stateroom doors are metal. One of the ladies on our cruise group (we have a private group on Facebook where we have "gotten to know each other") made these for anyone who asked. I am working on packing for our trip and laminating these Mickey head magnets to hang on our door.
