Spanish

Tonight was my last Spanish class at the local technical school. I won the price of the class at the back to school get together for teachers in the district that is hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. There were only two students in the class counting me. My teacher has only been in the U.S. five years and last week passed her test to become a U.S. citizen. She is so proud, as she should be. She is from Cuba. I really appreciate the time and effort the teacher gave to our small class. I honestly did not learn a thing about Spanish, but I did learn some interesting things about her life and Castro. Mayda, our teacher, was so sweet, she gave me a children's bilingual Bible as a goodbye gift. She gave Josh, the other student, a bilingual Bible. (He knew some Spanish before he started the class.)
