The parents and girls are heading to the flag ceremony in the Meadow at Camp NOARK. They are about to pass the point of silence.
The flag ceremony and the color guard. Alea was on the color guard for the second time.
She was in the far back corner.
Announcements before the Olympic theme events began.
Yep, that's me in the blue shirt talking to all of the participants.
For our Olympic theme day we made Olympic torches for snack.
The girls added carrots, ranch dressing, grapes, and Cheeze-Its to their ice cream cone.
This turned out really well and was tasty too.
The hula hoop event.
Alea has always been a hula hoop champ.
Singing songs before lunch. It was a cold day but it only rained and sleeted during our lunch break.
Alea is making her Olympic flag.
Enchanted Hollow at Camp NOARK is being transformed from platform tents to small cabins. This will be great for the girls to try out in the next year or so.
The new cabins.
Skiing
Each troop made their own dinner. One troop made hobo dinners. They filled their foil with meatballs and plenty of veggies.
Lots of campfire meals.
Alea created her own campfire 'meal'. She found a piece of bark for a plate, nuts, and leaves for the food. She is so creative and loves to play.
Alea and I watching the fire. It started raining so we went inside for a while.
I'm not a big fan of S'mores but I roasted marshmallows for another leader.
Davin, Alea, the camp ranger, and I were judges for the Dutch Oven dessert cook off.
This was an apple dessert.
A pumpkin cake.
The Dutch Oven dessert winner...a blackberry cobbler.
