Horseback Riding

After school today we went with Sue and her granddaughter Riley to meet their horses, Black and Flash.
Sue is our new Girl Scout assistant leader and Riley has recently joined our troop. We want to take the girls out spend time with the horses in May so this was a trial run to see how it might go and what we might do with the horses and girls. Sue was wonderful with Alea and her love for the animals is so sweet to watch.

Alea got to brush Black.

The girls fed Flash some carrots and he LOVED them.
When we walked away Flash kept following us looking for more carrots.
I took this photo over my shoulder to show how close Flash was to me as we were walking.

Alea getting ready to ride.

Riding a horse for the first time.

She was so happy! I told her to stop smiling and she couldn't. :)

Flash was hanging out in the barn.

She had a wonderful time!

Does it get any better for a little girl?

She was living the dream of most little girls everywhere.

Happy!!!

Getting a little bit more love from
Flash before we left.

Alea loved Flash. I'm pretty sure
it was mutual.
