Alea said she was the first girl to hit the target when they were doing archery. She did also mention that she was only the 2nd girl to shoot so as not to build herself up too high. She said her arrows are the ones with the blue feathers.
For "Lost in the Woods" camp (the theme for the week) they made sun tea one day.
The last night of camp they had to make "shelters" and sleep in their shelters. Apparently all they were allowed to use was their sleeping bags/pillow, etc., their poncho (I saw this on the packing list and thought it was optional since it wasn't suppose to rain all week so Alea didn't have a poncho to contribute to her group), and string from bracelets they had made earlier in the week. They were also able to use anything in their day pack. Alea, being like her mommy, made sure to pack her battery operated fan in her day pack. That's my girl!!!
A self-portrait of Alea. They made headbands and the colors represented the number of years they have attended camp. This was Alea's second year.
