They had these neat 2/3 feet tall statues the were of the people who played important roles in the construction and early days of the Statue of Liberty. They were really neat pieces of art.
The original torch.
This time we bought tickets to climb to the top of the crown. I was really dreading it when we got there but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it might be. The stairs kind of freaked Alea out though. They were VERY narrow and the spiral was a very tight spiral. We could only see a couple of steps ahead of us at anytime.
My view as I climbed.
The view from the top of the crown.
Alea and I in the crown.
Becky and I at the top of the pedestal.
Lady Liberty from the ground.
We saw "Annie" the musical on day 2. It was amazing! The little girl who played Annie gave me goose bumps on my scalp every time she sang. We LOVED it.
