Today is Sparky's fourth birthday. I wanted to take Sparky to the groomer for his birthday but nobody thought he would enjoy that very much. Alea wanted to make it a special day for Sparky so she hosted a birthday party for him. For one of his gifts Alea took one of Davin's old socks and stuffed it with cotton balls, tied off the end, and drew a smiley face on it. We went shopping for Sparky's birthday yesterday and bought him some of his favorite treats and three new toys. It didn't take Sparky long to figure out he was getting a present. Alea put his treat and toys in a gift bag. Santa puts Sparky's gifts in a gift bag too so he knew what the bag meant.
Alea wrapped up the sock toy inside an old blanket that she used as her blanket at day care. Sparky was starting to figure out what was going on.
He loved his new toy even though it didn't have a squeaky in it.

Alea was so happy to celebrate Sparky's birthday.
