Mac Truck

Okay, I've felt a little bit like I've been hit by a truck today. After the race I've been kind of lethargic. I didn't eat very well today so that probably has something to do with it. I decided to reward myself with food (I know, I know...I'm not a dog so I shouldn't reward myself with food) which is never a good choice because I LOVE crappy food. I LOVE hamburgers and french fries so that is what we had for dinner. I have probably had about 4 hamburgers since I got back from my sister's house in July. I probably had at least one a week before. (And one a day while I was at my sister's house.)

Even though today (race and recovery) was difficult I still have another race planned (and paid for) and at least two other races I want to do before the end of November. As I mentioned before I have the Color Run in Memphis on October 13th. I also want to do the Heroes for Kids 5k in Fayetteville on November 3rd. I keep thinking that this is my birthday weekend so it will be great to do this for myself on my birthday (when did I start thinking like this?? CRAZY LADY!) The Heroes for Kids run raises money for wheel chairs and bikes for kids with disabilities. Also, you can dress up like a super hero. We love super heroes in our family so that will be fun. I think Alea and the girls she played with today after the run (Natalie and Grace) are going to run/walk the race too. Davin and/or Rex (Natalie's dad) will walk with the girls and keep track of them. I think Haley and Emily will do the Heroes run too. The last race is the Girls on the Run 5k in Bentonville on November 17th. I am going to be an assistant leader with Girls on the Run at my school/work and Alea is part of Girls on the Run at her school. Each girl is suppose to have a sponsor runner with her. If every girl doesn't have someone to run with then the leaders will run with 2 or 3 girls. I plan on running with Alea and a girl or two from my school. The lady I work with who is in charge of GOTR said she will ask the organizers to put my school next to Alea's school in the race order. That will be fun!
